The group is a casual consenquence of some meetings in the village of Caraíva, a tropical paradise in the northeast of Brazil. For some years, great musicians from different places spend their vaccation there, making music and fun. One of these meetings was appreciated by a special spectator, the French producer Daniel Vangarde, which has made daily concerts with the group during the summer of Caraíva, presenting the Brazilian music to people from the whole world. Then started a work of studying, recording and filming, with sessions performed at unusual natural paradises in Brazil. Places so simple that the productions were energized by batteries of truck.
The project, the friendship and the musical affinity has been maturing over the years. In April 2008, they produced the CD and DVD at Studio Mosh, São Paulo. The end result was above all expectations.
The sextet is able to excite the public presenting a labored but the same time popular repertoire, with personality and improvisation, influenced by the traditional genders between choro, samba and the major compositors of Brazilian music, as Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim and many others.
The CD and DVD, entitled "CARAIVANA - Natural", recorded in 2008 is being released in Europe and Brazil. The material was recorded live, always seeking the essence of informal presentations, because this is the first meaning of this group.
