Cara Salimando

Cara Salimando is a songwriter and performer based in Manhattan. She is only twenty years young, but long lived for a short life. She wrote her first song a decade ago. And after that song came other songs, and others, and others, and others...

So far, Cara has opened for Ingrid Michaelson, Mat Kearney, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Marc Cohn, Martin Sexton, Anthony Green (of Circa Survive), and most recently, 100 Monkeys on their European tour. Other accomplishments include performing at Sarah McLachlan's 2010 Lilith Fair relaunch and the 2010 Bamboozle Music Festival.

Currently, Cara is working as a songwriter; recently signed to Glassnote Records' publishing endeavor Four Song Night, Cara spends most of her days collaborating and co-writing with other artists and producers. This year, Cara launched a year long project in which she collaborates with one artist or producer each month and releases a 2 song EP + music video featuring songs the two worked on.

Concurrently, Cara is working on a new side project to be announced in the possibly ever so close yet ever so far near future.
