Those Boys Carcen......It started in Houston, TX in 1998 with original members Jonas Gunawan and Cody Watts. By 1999 CARCEN was successful in establishing themselves in the Houston music scene, playing all the major venues and winning several distinctive talent awards. They have a wide range of musical influences from classical music to modern rock that along with life experiences fuel their songwriting collaboration. CARCEN’s music is filled with solid melodies and hooks accented with heavy guitar riffs and keyboards. Their live show is dynamic and fun-filled, keeping the audience engrossed in the moment.

CARCEN continues to support their current 2005 CD release, UNAWARE, with regional touring and airplay. They recently completed tracking 8 songs for their third CD with Producer/Victoria Didrikson Betts at LIS and Digital Services in Houston, TX. The project is slated for release in 2007.

CARCEN worked with Cinematographer/Mike May of VISUAL MAYHEM to create videos and an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) for the singles from the UNAWARE CD, Mexico and Never Say Always.

This past year has brought much growth to the band, expanding their live shows throughout Texas adding to their resume several large festivals in College Station, Houston, Corpus Christi and Austin as well as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Selma, TX and opening for larger artist including 3 Doors Down, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Romantics.

CARCEN is constantly building and growing. CARCEN is very hard-working and goal oriented; open and ready for all opportunities. They are concentrating on songwriting, continued growth, building a solid fan-base and just getting their music heard.
