Bio
Two singers, two dreams, two separate journeys. The result, Cardinal Crossing.
The group is comprised of Greg Burroughs, a lifelong Buckeyes fan and recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, and Chris Parker, an optimistic songwriter from Prescott, AZ.
"It's a country-rock-pop kind of thing, with new applications of traditional country instruments, like the mandolin, fiddle and banjo," explained Burroughs. "We're thinking outside the box vocally, often singing separate musical lines at the same time."
It’s an approach that allows each band member to shine.
“We haven’t set genre boundaries or tried to constrain our writing styles,” said Parker. “All the pieces have come together without a lot of tampering, which is unique for a group of people working through a creative process.” Listeners will hear optimistic themes of new relationships, true love, renewed hope and youthful transition, throughout the collection of original material the band has written since forming in late 2008.
“This collaboration is really unique,” added Burroughs. “Audiences will see and hear the same chemistry in our live performances that we deliver in the recording studio.”
