Bio

Carey Dyer is a gifted professional singer, writer, comedian, and speaker. His slice-of-life humor and inspiring music endear him to audiences everywhere. Carey’s unique presentations refresh the spirit and renew the mind of “bored Christians.”

Since his “class clown” days, Carey has traveled and performed in 45 states (well, 46 if you count snorkeling in Hawaii). Carey was a young student when he sensed God calling him to something special, and since then he has served in such varied roles as missionary, studio singer, youth minister, drama teacher, and Elvis impersonator (no, really).

However, his favorite role of all is hubby and daddy. Carey and his wife, author/speaker Dena Dyer, have two sons and make their home in Fredericksburg, Texas. When he’s not on stage at Rockbox Theater, a professional family-friendly entertainment venue, he loves to speak and sing about being a parent, finding joy in the ordinary, and letting God use each of us in His own unique way.

Carey received a Bachelor of Music from Union University and a Master of Arts in Communication from Southwestern Seminary. He has logged literally thousands of hours on stage as a professional entertainer, published several musical compositions, and written for many magazines, websites and drama collections. In September 2006, he was named one of five finalists for “Best Vocalist of the Month” by Singer Universe magazine. Carey is also pleased to be a member of the Christian Comedy Association. (Oh yeah, and in 9th grade he completed two sides of a Rubik’s Cube.)
