"Cariad Harmon...comes from a lineage of jazzy singer-songwriters that includes Joni Mitchell and Rickie Lee Jones. Her modest, lovely debut is a slow-burning set of piano-based torch songs and acoustic-Guitar Ballads. Like Mitchell and Jones, the fragile-voiced Harmon endearingly cuts off her words at the ends of her lines; unlike them, her lyrics seem to span many decades" - Mark Kemp - Rolling Stone Magazine
"Sometimes an artist or band comes along that just gets it...we are occasionally fortunate enough to happen upon an indie artist who could have made a great record in any decade...There is a timeless quality and sense of romance to Harmon's songs that transcends the album's top-notch production...translating perfectly to a live setting and...sure to enhance your evening. Cariad Harmon is the type of artist making music that will sound as good in 20 years as it does today." - Jesse Hayes - No Depression
"Four Letters is a well-crafted debut that’s undeniably relaxing to listen to...I’m sure this album would be an enjoyable listen for fans of Sarah McLachlan, Cat Power, and any other individuals (like me) who lament the end of happy summer days spent frolicking at Lilith Fair. When the festival returns (in the summer of 2010) perhaps we’ll see Cariad Harmon on the roster. " - Heather Schofner - Verbicide Magazine
"This British singer-songwriter makes late-night music that's part jazz, part folk, and all fuzzy and warm. Harmon's rich, welcoming voice guides the songs on her debut, but the subtle instrumental nudges — soft piano, gently strummed guitar — are inviting too. Perfect music to cozy up to." Michael Gallucci - Cleveland Scene
"Singer/musician/songwriter...when you find someone who can execute all of these elements with something that sounds close to perfection, you want to make sure everyone knows...One may be quick to compare her to Regina Spektor, Sarah McLachlan, or even Carole King...Harmon sounds like she’ll be able to pave her own path and tell everyone in front of her to step out of the way. She is a stand-out artist, and anyone who takes a listen will become instant fans." - This is Books Music

Bio
New York City based Brit, Cariad Harmon is about to release her sophomore album and listeners are about to swoon. A highly personal record with meticulously crafted songs about hope, loneliness and the human condition this is her finest work to date.
Dynamic melodies paired with an authentic and pure approach to songwriting prove to be a killer combination. Full of honesty, courage and humor, Cariad lays herself bare in order to connect and she damn well succeeds.
At a live show, Cariad's charming banter between songs endears the audience to her and during her set and you'll hear hearts breaking. Her songs resonate so deeply you'll want to protect her, you'll want to take her home.
Rolling Stone made the comparison to Norah Jones and Joni MItchell and it's not hard to see why. But what she's doing is uniquely her own.
