Carissa

Since she was 4 years old and started to listen to Selena's songs while  living in Acapulco (Mexico), Carissa has had the desire to become a great singer. After moving back to Canada when she was 8, Carissa started to take drama, music and singing lessons. Fast learner, the teenage girl proved to her teachers and relatives that she had a true passion for music and a very creative spirit. People also discovered the natural ability of the young girl to perform in front of a live audience. At the age of 18, Carissa wrote her first original song, Mr Best. Music quickly became the only way for the artist to express herself and put words on her true feelings regarding life. When she turned 20, Carissa met with Mecam Productions and explained to them her desire to share with the world the songs she had composed. Carissa got signed by Mecam Productions and started to focuss only on her music.

After the release of Solo Asi, the Spanish version of her song The Only Way, as well as the music video for the song in 2011, Carissa's notoriety started to increase. She travelled all around North America to promote her independant six songs EP. Carissa started to be heard on major radios in Los Angeles, San JosĂŠ, Las Vegas and San Francisco. She was also invited on TV sets such as CNN, Global TV USA, TV Azteca and Univision. She was even went to the Latin Grammys, where she met with great artists and shared with them about her music and plans for the future.

This year, Carissa has worked on a brand new full-length album, CITY LIGHTS. Produced by Huge Music , property or Hugo Diaz (Pitbull) and recorded in New York and Miami studios. The album will be released in 2015 and proposes a wide range of fun-filled hooks. The songs, all written by Carissa herself, are mostly in English, but also in French and Spanish, a way for the singer to make sure her Canadian and Mexican roots are never forgotten. Carissa's full-length album promises new beats, mixing pop, electro, pop-rock and dupstep. The Universal/DEP distribution will ensure availability for CITY LIGHTS on major platforms.

City Lights is the first song released from Carissa's new album. The English and French versions are already available on 45 tours.ca and on Itunes. The song is played on radios all around Canada and the Spanish version will be released in the coming days. A videoclip for each version of City Lights, shot in Montreal on August 2014, is also to be released in the up-coming weeks. In the video, Carissa embraces the dynamics of a big city at night, being young and free. We can see her and her friends dance under the neon lights and run away from a very strict reception to enjoy life to its full.

For the past three years, Carissa never stoped working on her music. She developped her look and personal style, took dance lessons and gave interviews on TV and radios. She is now looking for new partners to help spread her music and make her way to the top.  Today more than ever, Carissa is ready to show the world the genuine and talented artist that she is.
