Carla "Monday"

Born on October 15, 1979 in Quezon City, Philippines, my mother and her OBGYN decided to nickname me Monday, and unfortunately it stayed with me throughout my childhood and I still use that name as of today. I first started singing in high school when I was tasked by my music teacher to organize a singing contest. The teacher instructed me to present seven (7) contestants. I was not able to get a 7th person, so I decided that I will be the 7th one. To my surprise, I actually won the contest. So, after high school I started working as a waitress, and the manager who hired me was also managing local bands. After few months of waitressing I started singing with the manager’s band, and that is where it all began. So, I decided to a enroll in a Musical Arts School in the Philippines, where I studied classical music and started singing and learning about pop, acid, jazz, rap, and hip hop music. Shortly thereafter, I started touring different countries with several different bands until moving to the United States in 2011. Now here in Killeen, Texas, I am working with some very prominent managers, producers, and engineers, so you can expect great things and great music from me in the very near future! Some of my interests are photography and songwriting, and my favorite colors are anything in the family of purple. I love being goofy, funny, and just an all-around happy person, and I always try to look at things in a positive light! And the single most thing that I love the most is, “Rocking your lives” with my music!
