Bio

Carl B. has established himself as being probably the only sax player performing hiphop jazz. Having started music way back in grade school, he managed to get his little school band members (5th grade) up dancing to his rendition of “twinkle twinkle little star” on sax, before the teacher arrived. Of course, it was a long day for him after he was released from “after school detention”. Moving on to college, his efforts remained focus with music in the North Carolina A&T State Marching Band, and performing R&B professionally in local Greensboro, N.C clubs.
Carl B. 1st CD release came in 2002 with “Saving The Planet With The Funk” on the RatHole Records Label. His CD received acceptance and good reviews from his peers in The Recording Academy (Grammy Awards), where now he has been honored as a voting member. Carl B. continues his music performances, bringing a jazz flava to the current hiphop/R&B dance market with new CD releases from KetaSounds Music Publishing (ASCAP) and media internet radio play on StarsRadio.Net, other internet stations as well as local FM stations. His shows are action packed with excitement as he performs various music styles from jazz to hiphop either vocally, on sax, on guitar, or on harmonica! Influences include David Sanborne and Maceo Parker...of cource the most reconized style of originality is Carl B.
