Bio
Carleen Williams is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter. Most critics compare her to Joni Mitchell. However, songwriters like Sara Bareilles & Jason Mraz have the most influence on her.
Carleen was born to a drama teacher and music teacher so she is a performer at her core. In high school, she performed in Honors Choir, Drama Club and musicals. After moving to LA to pursue music, she found herself in the acting circuit for a few years. Afterward, she then decided to attend California Institute of the Arts.
Singer-Songwriter is the one “word” that could summarize her genre. Folk & Pop are at the center of her sound. Her vocals have a strong, musical theatre element to them. New Age Classical & Cinema is the style of piano present in her work.
Carleen is currently in the studio working on some exciting new projects! When she’s not in the studio, she is teaching music. For more information about lessons, please email carwil7@gmail.com. Her most proud achievements have been in her education. She received the most prestigious awards from Herb Alpert Music Academy. She was excited to be accepted into CalArts and she’s even more ecstatic to have graduated. Playing the infamous Viper Room was also a highlight for her. She’s excited to play more big venues and reach bigger heights!
