Bio

Over the last year I’ve been playing solo, and in an alt country duo with Pine Radio front man Carl Anderson. We’ve recently expanded our group and have started playing Charlottesville / Albemarle / Nelson county venues with fiddle, bass and drums. We’re still playing upbeat alt country originals, and some covers of old favorites (love June & Johnny’s “Jackson”), but with a bigger sou nd.

Last September I released my first solo cd "Flower to the Bee" which was produced by Jeff Romano at Greenwood Studio. I’ve been friends with Charlottesville musicians Devon Sproule and Paul Curreri for several years and was fortunate to have Devon appear on a number of tracks on the cd. We also were joined by a number of great Charlottesville players; Andy Thacker, Ann Marie Calhoun and Charlie Bell.

In promoting the cd I’ve had a chance to work with some other fine C’ville musicians, including Sam Wilson (Sons of Bill), Luke Nutting (6 Day Bender) and Adrienne Young.
I've had the chance to play with some really great musicians like Jesse Winchester, Amy LaVere, Uncle Monk, Dave Barnes and Lucy Wainwright and I my song "Your City Skies" was named Songwriter Unvierse's January 2009 Song of the Month. I'll be playing with Slaid Cleaves and taking my first trip to Nashville to play at the Bluebird Cafe this summer.
