Carlos Canteri

Searching for originality´s one of the greatest priorities for the 26 years old singer/songwriter Carlos Canteri, always trying to mix into Acoustic/Pop/Rock format, some influences from other styles like Bossa Nova, Folk, Jazz, Blues.

“It´s not about styles, but melodies and good lyrics, mixing all the elements to a new music approach, finding your own songwriting style, so hard to find these days”, says Canteri.

During the LA journey, he got some good contacts, with great musicians such as David Ryan Harris (John Mayer band), Alan White (Yes), Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), bringing to him much support and understanding inside the music industry.

All songs and lyrics were written by Carlos Canteri, during his Law University and his Music studies.
The whole first half of “Essences”, specifically, was selected thinking in the archive that Carlos had since 2006.

In 2010, Carlos signed an editing and publishing deal with Sony ATV Brazil/Blast Publishing, to release his debut album called “Essences”.

This album have a music direction/production signed by Fábio Ferreira and A&R by the producer André Kostta.
Also, there´s a remix version for the single “Beyond the normal” made by the producer Brian Scheuble (Sting, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Bon Jovi, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews, Elton John, Train, and great others) to the international market.

In 2011, the album copies were produced by Disc Makers, USA, with Tratore/Fonomatic and Island Def Jam/Tune Core distribution.

Since January, 2011, the album “Essences” is finally available to US radios, like “Jango Air Play Radio”, in NYC, also college radios around the country.

“The highest arts become more developed when we arrange with simplicity, but full of great elements”, says Canteri.
