This song came from a decision I made to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and submit to His will in my life. I've been running from those hard decisions due to fear of God's greatness and the sacrifices and struggles that may come. This song is my story. When I gave my life to Him as a teenager, I began to write poems and songs. Words I didn't even know the meaning to would come out, melodies that were beautiful. This gift kept me sane and out of trouble during the hardest years of my life. Then I stopped creating and put those gifts away in a closet for many years. Life, responsibilities, family got in the way for a time, and after twelve years, I found a reason to write again.
My favorite artists are those I listen to every day from KLOVE (klove.com) Michael W Smith, Third Day, TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, Jeremy Camp and others that help inspire and light up the fire within me.
