Bio

Carole Edwards first musical experience was that of singing in a gospel church choir in central Mississippi. By age 15, she was performing in clubs around the Jackson area and had already begun singing song demos for local songwriters. She signed her first publishing deal at age 19 with Patmos Productions in Ridgeland, MS. At the urging of her then publisher James Griffin (formerly of Malaco Records) she moved to Nashville, TN. Upon arriving in Nashville, she began writing with other songwriters and singing on song demos for publishing companies. She has had songs published by Writers Group, Sheddhouse Music, MCA Music, GoodSport Music and others. In the early 1990's she formed a duo with New Orleans singer songwriter Kathleen Stieffel and toured briefly overseas. A song she co-wrote with Kathleen was later recorded by Evangeline, a project produced by Jimmy Buffet and released on Margaritaville/MCA Records. She has worked on projects with such talented singer songwriters such as Dave Olney, Tom House, Ann Tiley John Allingham and others. In 2002, she released A Lot Like You, A collection of songs produced by Ann Tiley. Her latest project is a series of original songs produced and engineered by Michael Teaney.
