Bio
Carolina Portilla is the singer/songwriter to be on the lookout for. She was born in Colombia and at the age of nine moved to Canada with her family. At the young age of six she would sing at all family functions and events. In school, her music teacher was so impressed by her desire to be involved with music that she told her mother that Carolina would be a wonderful addition to the school choir. From the age of seven, Carolina started humming different melodies and singing different rhymes. From there, her passion for song-writing began. At the age of thirteen, she started playing the guitar when she got it as a Christmas present from her parents. She has continued to write music and is quickly expanding her audience. She has performed at different festivals including the Lilac Festival and the Sun and Salsa Festival. In 2012, Carolina also performed her original songs at her high school's Graduation Fashion Show as well as the Talent Show where she made it to the finals. With undeniable talent and a passion for music and art, Carolina is going to continue to captivate audiences and evolve as a songwriter.
In her spare time she enjoys playing soccer, hockey, hanging out with friends and watching movies. She also enjoys cooking, travelling and spending time with her family.
