"The Band Rocked"

”..the band rocked with an hour and a half of raw, raucous, gut-felt blues...people who had never met were hanging off each other’s necks, dancing, and good buddies were slapping each other on the back and bopping like they didn’t care.” - Philadelphia Inquirer

"Female Harmonicat"

“Female harmonicat Carol Moog shines..” - Philadelphia Daily News

"Emotive Sound"

“Moog is big on the emotive sound.. ’I like the simplicity of the blues and the harmonica is a perfect expression of some of the feelings that come through the blues’ says the veteran blueswoman who counts Paul Butterfield, Dinah Washington, and Sonny Terry among her musical influences.” - News of Delaware Valley

"Opening for Junior Wells and Buddy Guy"

“...bluesmen Junior Wells and Buddy Guy appeared..The warmup act was the No Alibi Blues Band. The harp player had an excellent sound...as if she grew up listening to Junior Wells.” - The Triangle

"Class Player"

And, this from Rich Curtis, who received the Versatility Entertainment & Image Award Healthy Music Matters (formerly Philadelphia Friends Entertainment Coalition) this year: “The Dukes of Destiny returned to the Mermaid Inn in Chestnut Hill last night and it was a party from the first downbeat...A couple of friends stopped in and made music with us. ...this was the first time that I had played with Carol, who I've seen on the Philly circuit for several years. Be it the Mermaid or Goat Hollow or Gloria's in Philly's Fairmount neighborhood, Carol gets around and has become a class player. Huge sound in a small package. She's got the goods”. - Rich Curtis

"Living on the edge"

“…high-octane musicians who throw themselves, heart and soul, into their performance. With this group, it’s all about passion, living on the edge, and virtuosity! This is one band that will leave you winded!”

- Festival International du Blues de Tremblant

Bio

Connecting. With the Carol Moog Band, it's all about connecting--with the music, with the other players, with the audience, with the gut and heart and soul of the vibe. Moog started out playing piano and then Sonny Terry reached in and grabbed her hard. Something inside told her she could play harmonica, and it never let go. She's shared billing with legends such as John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guiy, Junior Wells, John Hammond, Edgar Winter/Leon Russell, Koko Taylor and John Mayall. She's traveled all over the world and played with bands in India, Thailand, Tunisia, Hungary and Tiwi Islanders, to name a few.

In addition to his impassioned vocals, Don Evans' outrageously hot guitar playing has resulted in his having performance credits that read like a Who's Who of rock and roll. His stage time includes years playing and recording with Billy Joel, Dirk Hamilton and Eric Burdon of the Animals.

Lenny Fatigati, to the limitless joy of all, succeeded early on in convincing his parents that he should be allowed to trade in his accordian for a bass. It's been a fabulous ride for him since then. He' s a powerful, creative presence in the band, adding a huge, rich sound and truly awesome solos.

Michael O'Rourke is a versatile drummer who's performed in Atlantic City casinos, in New York's Catskills, on the Norwegian Caribbean Cruise line and clubs in New York City and Philadelphia. He's performed wtih Woody Shaw, Valerie Ponomarev, Jimmy Bruno, Bootsie Barnes and Evelyn Simms, to name a few.
