Carrie Solomon

BandRockPop

From guitar-driven pop/punk to moody, heartfelt ballads with an edge...this is dynamic, bitter-sweet pop/rock with catchy melodies, biting lyrics, and vocals ranging from raw to pure and sweet.

Biography

Carrie's songwriting has been commended by Berklee's Pat Pattison, and her musicianship by Austin's Van Wilks and Dave Sebree. Although she has been writing and singing since her first few piano lessons at the age of 5, Carrie began crafting her infectious style of catchy, passionate rock/pop during her teen years in Austin, TX. Now 21, her influences include pop and rock artists like No Doubt, Thrice, Reel Big Fish, and Michelle Branch. Carrie has crafted her own unique style that combines rock, pop, ska, punk, and even folk and singer-songwriter styles. She has won numerous local singing competitions and placed as a runner-up and received publication in a national poetry-writing contest. She has performed at local Austin venues such as Antones, Redrum, Red Eyed Fly, Mozart's, Babes', Rutamaya, Austin Java, and Old Alligator Grill.
