Bio

CARTER & CARTER
Creating History

It's been four short years since Carter & Carter launched their debut album 'Dance Away The Night' in October 2000, and they have been creating history ever since.

Their second album 'Every Minute' continued their incredible success, winning multiple awards and producing six hit singles, including four national #1's.

Major awards include a 2003 Golden Guitar for 'Candlelight and Kisses', 2004 APRA Most Performed Country Work Award for 'Lead Me Home', the CMAA Industry Achiever Award for Independent Entertainer of the Year for three consecutive years, not to mention their 7 Australian Independent Country Music Awards, multiple TSA Songwriting and Victorian Country Music Awards and also accolades across other genres.

Having done all of this as independent, self managed artists, it is not surprising that Carter & Carter are now considered by fans and peers alike to be amongst the history making artists in the Australian Country Music arena.

They have been touring extensively around Australia and New Zealand, and have been delivering their own brand of country music stories and songs to a rapidly growing fan base.

Passionate songwriters as well as performers they have written many of their hits including 'Lead Me Home', 'Candlelight and Kisses', 'Dance Away The Night', 'One of Those Days' and 'Dance Away The Night' to name a few. They have also turned their hand to producing and directing their own video clips and albums as well. They are frequently invited to hold industry and songwriting workshops for aspiring artists who hope to follow in their footsteps and this is definitely a credit to their success.

Their appeal across other adult contemporary genres of music has led to many of their songs being picked up by commercial radio over the past couple of years, and gaining a major sponsorship with Yamaha Music has also opened up new opportunities.

To date they have six national #1 country music hits, on both the Country Tracks Top 30 chart and Music Network charts as well as two #2 hits, certainly an impressive chart history.

With a self produced side project 'Carter & Carter Acoustic Gospel' album released just before Christmas receiving great reviews, and a new career album in the making for 2005, Carter & Carter are showing no signs of slowing down.

Their music is fresh, it's inspiring, and it will continue to create history for many years to come.
