Cartwall's debut single "Frankie" hit the shelves in August '08, and received
frequent airplay on P3 and student radio stations. Two festival gigs and one
music video later the sequel is finally released in June 2009: Club Dinosaur
Pumping bass lines, a hit refrain and operatic choirs singing about being
sexually harassed by old men on the dance floor. The chorus in Club Dinosaur
gives you what you've been longing to hear: Don't dance with disco dinosaurs,
they think you're cool but you'll get bored.
Futuristic disco or indie evergreens - feel free to call it whatever you want.
Cartwall consists of the singer and radio personality Matilda Kihlberg (Humor-
himlen and AFFP on P3) and computer musician Olle Blomström. The duo
was formed in Piteå in 2007 and quickly started to play at local clubs. They
received attention on music blogs and they even managed to get nominated
as "Best Unsigned Act" on the Manifest Awards of 2008.
