"In countries that have Rock'n'Roll flowing in their blood circulation, Tamar Aphek would star on magazine covers long time ago. Yesterday she stood on the stage.. looking and sounding like a guitar hero coming into being" - Ha-Aretz, Ben Shalev Israel
"A drum set and 2 monstours marshall amps waited for us in the middle of the room. Thw intimate concept of the show (that wasn't intimate at all) managed to arouse even more my excitment and expectation and made me hurry and place myself in the circle that started to be created . The Band gets into the circle and being recived with applause. unified mumbling of both of them into the microphone, one stumming on the guitar and knocking on the drums and electricity begins flowing in the palm of my hands. In their show there is no need of stage, light spots or a soundman behind a counter. just 2 talents, with the spark of maddness in their eyes that came to bang your head. - 106 Magazine
Carusella brings the kind of sex apeal that you can't study in a music school. both of them are young but have accumulated a rich resume in the local indie scene. They are full of charizma. Shechter plays the drums in a stirring way that excels in a technique that arouses excitment. Also he sings in a way that will turn over your stomach over. - nana site
You simply cannot ignore the musical capability and animalistic intensity, almost devilish that this duo offers. Tamar Aphek on the guitar, Guy Shecther on the drums, both of them singing, constituing carusella.
In an almost religious way the audience stands around them, moving, dancing and worships his idols. With their song "Star Quality" the duo sings firmly that there is no thing as star quality and as it sings proves the opposit simultaneously. - NRG Maariv
In 2002 a Music Israely collection was published in the name of "Rocking girls - a feminie local collection". You can easily assume Tamar Aphek from the Israely duo "Carusella" spit on it, steped on it with nailed high heals and broke a guitar on it. There is no connection between Aphek to any of the feminie artists in that collection or any other name that reffers to the paradox called "Israelly feminie rock". Actually while taking into consideration the fact that the "Israely Rock" concept is in big question itself, Aphek has nothing to do with Israel in a transgender way. Together with the excellent drummer Guy Shechter, that also suicides on the microphone in half of the songs, Carusella are the fig leaf that covers the Israely rock scene itself. - walla site
two-piece from Israel whose sole intent is to make a hell of a racket...It helped that the skin basher is a born-again drumming lunatic, full of tricks and angles (such as balancing one-legged on his stool) and the doe-eyed harpy who thrashes her guitar as if it was a ragdoll threw a lot of interesting musical shapes. This was live music at its best, creative, fun, of the moment, allowing the audience to suspend disbelief… It was fantastic - incendiarymag.com- Richard Foster)
