Casabella kicked off the night and set the tone straight away with their catchy song Brazil, soon attracting more spectators in with a vibrant and uplifting set including new material, such as slower-paced Reggae Nights .
Strong and compelling vocal delivery from lead singer Samantha Grant and Gianni Rossi combined with an enthusiastic instrumental execution made Casabella a perfect fit for Beyond The Borders, which aims to "bring people from different musical and cultural backgrounds together though world class live fusion acts".
Casabella demonstrated once again at Cargo their ability to draw people to the dancefloor with their energetic performance – special kudos to percussionist Derek Ferguson - and infectious soundscape of pop, latin funk, Brazilian samba, jazz and reggae to only name a few of their influences, which transports you to carnival season in sunnier climes no matter the time of year.

Casabella’s music is an irresistible mix of Latin beat, samba and reggae with lyrics in English, Italian, Spanish and French. Casabella is a band of great cultural diversity with 8 musicians from Europe, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa that met and started playing together in London in 2007. Casabella are protagonist of the London live music scene and are guest of prestigious UK and European Festivals. The band has been invited in tours in Italy, Cyprus and France. They first EP sold copies in Europe, Australia, India and Canada and the band is now promoting their new album “A Flower” under the label “CM Records”. Casabella live is a special experience for the energy that involves the audience in the dance and in the interaction with the musicians.
Casabella is the resident band at the popular “Mau Mau Bar” in Portobello Road, London and they performed at the following festivals:
