Bio

Casadie Jo Pederson was raised in the farmlands of Mid-Eastern Alberta. Growing up on a farm with her immediate family all within a 2 mile radius, she learned values of hardwork and dedication. A true country girl from the beginning, she began singing at a young age like many performers. It all began in her basement singing along with such atrists as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shania Twain, Terri Clark, and other females. At the age of 5, she began taking voice training with a fellow Albertan, who lived in Mannville near her farm, female artist Krysta Scoggins, who would later in 2004 be signed to Infinity Music in Nashville. After Krysta moved to the city of Edmonton, Casadie continued to persue her singing with several other vocal instructors. In 2004, she was given a guitar for Christmas and hasn't put down the instrument since. Her artistry began to take shape and her voice and guitar skills began improving together. She began to perform in local talent shows, and competitions and began to gain experience with audiences. In June of 2007, she attended the CMA Music Festival as a fan, meeting other Canadian Artists such as Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Shane Yellowbird, Troy Kokol, and Emerson Drive. A win at one talent contest in the summer of 2007, at the 1310 CHLW Rodeo Talent Contest, sent her to Nashville Tennessee. Global Country Canada and its President Maryanne Gibson, invited her to compete in the North American Country Music Association Awards in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She walked away with Female Entertainer and Female Vocalist of the Year for the 14-17 age category, competing against other artists from all over the USA. In 2008, she has begun co-writing with the likes of Aaron Jake Goodvin ( co-wrote Jo Hikk's "Pimp My Tractor") and Joni Delaurier (co-wrote "Pick-up Truck" for Shane Yellowbird and "Second Hand Car" for the Higgins), and good friend- singer/songwriter Lisa Nicole Grace. In April 2009, Casadie had the chance to write with good friend Kathleen Higgins of the Higgins in Nashville. Her most recent co-write was Canadian Music sensation Samantha King. She is currently working towards a move to Nashville to attend the Middle Tennessee State University and get an education in Music Business and to further her songwriting career. In a few short years, things have begun to take off. She never takes for granted every artist, manager, songwriter, or agent that took time to talk to her about the business. She has always been a fan of country music, which has provided her with the soundtrack for her life thus far. She is and will always be a fan of the way music tells a story, or can lift you up, inspire you, make you laugh, make you cry or take you back to another chapter in your life. And thats exactly what she hopes to accomplish in her career.
