Casanatra, a two guitarist/one drummer power trio who’ve been throwing rock ‘n’ roll haymakers on the local scene since 2002, start the next chapter in their story of post-rock pugilism tonight...Death Ride sacrifices none of Casanatra’s intensity while still coming off as their most accessible album yet. - Metromix-Twin Cities
The band musters up a tornado of stormy, crunchy guitar riffs that are balanced out with angsty and anthemic choruses. - Chris Riemenschneider, Star Tribune
Their new album, Death Ride (Blue Worm Records) is hard hitting when it needs to be, but you don’t have to be drunk or a skull crusher to enjoy Casanatra’s the album start to finish. - Greg Swan, Perfect Porridge
Casanatra have kicked out an honest, driven, intelligent record that sees them moving forward while not losing touch with that from whence they came. The album (Death Ride) should garner the band plenty of new fans, while holding on to the old ones.
- Rift Magazine-Sam Rhode
Two guitars and a drummer from St. Paul blasting out plush, post-grunge, groovy hard rock complimented with multiple melodic vocals and warm fuzzy tones. This band sounds better all the time!

Bio
Casanatra came to be in early 2002 when Lance Reed, Jer Fink and Dennis Asher found themselves without any commitments and a desire to spend the most time possible in musical telepathy with each other. Each brought a part of their past endeavors to create a sound that was forged in rock, but injected with elements of almost every musical style.
Synchronicity brought them together and the pure love of playing has cemented a musical bond that holds tight after 4 releases: Is This Tonight-BWR 0011- Wood and Glass-BWR 0016, Primo Impacto-BWR-0023 and their early 2009 release "Death Ride" which is a rebirth of sorts for the band. New producer, Jeff Halland of Houston fame. New songwriting approach, short punchy and powerful. New haircuts....and so on.
Adventurous and accessible, Casanatra created a record that lives up to the sum of their parts, they've discovered the secret formula and they aren't giving it away, but they'll always invite you in for a drink and a listen.
Now with the 2009 addition of bass player extrordinaire Brett Johnson (Atmosphere, Kingfield) Casanatra is changing the rules in the middle of the game and continuing a tradition of keeping their beloved listeners on their toes. The goal continues to be to write songs that were individually unique while owning the common thread of big guitars, fat ass bass and monstrous drumming.
Look for a August 2010 vinyl release of "The Truth Makes a Comeback" by Casanatra on BlueWorm Records.
