Bio

The Bronx is a place familiar to those that follow the origins of hip-hop. Many, mostly pupils of the art, have exercised their birth right and carried hip-hop’s illustrious torch. Born October 11, 1987 in New York City’s Borough of The Bronx, Monroe Anderson now plays his part with the torch.
At 8 years old, Monroe’s family left the Bronx and moved to Spring Valley, New York. There he was raised, currently lives and represents. At a very young age he was captivated by the sounds of hip-hop. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, DMX, and The Roots. He soon began to rap and took the moniker, "Caseman Anderson". As he developed his skills, this emcee/producer made New York City his stomping ground for countless cyphers, performances and rap battles. Caseman is making a mark delivering rapid-fire lyrics with substance, great enunciation and finesse. On his recorded works, fans experience his devotion and gift of delivering a great song. Caseman, greatly wants to become the people’s artist.
On Eruption, his debut album, Case reminds us that hip-hop is not just about making dollars and bills. It’s about respecting the art, representing your skills and bringing due entertainment to the listener. Eruption is the collaboration of rapper Caseman Anderson and producer Eric Menal of the 90’s group Brothers Uv Da Blakmarket. The album is characterized by creative musical selections along with a compelling blend of exciting concepts. It brings back a traditional sound that has now been missing in today’s rap. The album gives us aspects of life through Caseman's general perspective. Hard beats, sharp lyrics and catchy hooks are accented by pleasant and melodic tracks. A few tracks to be on the lookout for are the title track Eruption, Zonin, Make It Sweet and Cruising. Case says, "This album will ignite the traditional fans of our genre and reclaim a place for classic hip-hop.”
Caseman has performed in showcases at venues such as Nuyoricans Poets Cafe, Club T-NY, The Shrine, Pyramid Club and El Molinoes. Those venues have featured artists such as Talib Kweli, KRS-One, Buckshot from Black Moon, and many others.
Without any further interruptions we present to you… Caseman Anderson.
