"Casey Curry - Tidal Tales From The Other Side"

When he's not taking hyper-artistic photos, the brain-scramblingly talented Los Angeles-based photographer CASEY CURRY is -- evidently -- making rock music. Although Tidal Tales From The Other Side is Curry's debut solo album, he's certainly no stranger to playing, writing and recording music. He's the man behind the recently disolved Beach Boys-revivalist act THE PASSPORTS. These days Curry's making darker, reverb-drenched and guitar-driven mope-rock. But make no mistake: mope-rock or not, Curry's fondess for 60s-inspired harmonies are in full-effect on TTFTOS and the results are promising. So go get your shoegaze on and give it a listen. - Pop Music Matters

Bio

The anticipated debut album “Tidal Tales From The Other Side,” from one of Los Angeles’ most talented up and coming 60’s rock revivalist, Casey Curry, is sure to turn heads and create a sanctuary for the tired and yearning ears that have fallen victim to today’s bloated music industy.

Although the southern Californian native, Casey Curry, isn’t new to the music scene, his new sound surely is. Curry, along with his band The Remainders have been well received at some of LA’s most notorious venues, including Spaceland, The Echo, Hotel Café, and The Viper Room. They have been described as the love child of Kevin Shields and Lou Reed, raised by Nick Cave and Brian Wilson. When writing Tidal Tales, Curry set out to create an opus in two movements that would serve as a living soundtrack for all those who listen. From start to finish, Tidal Tales evokes an infectious cinematic quality that will make even the most mundane evening commute a glorious adventure.

“Filled with reverb drenched guitars, ethereal harmonies, glittering sunburst instrumentals, and deeply poetic lyrics, Tidal Tales From The Other Side is an album of colossal proportions created specifically with the listener in mind.” -James Patel /// Everything Indie
