Biography

Casey definitely has a musical style which is all her own. At 16 years of age, her mix of Christian Rock, Folk, and Pop is enhanced by her heartfelt lyrics which all speak about her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

"My mission is to reach out to my generation for God because I feel teenagers today are in desperate need of Christ and Salvation. I would like to spread the message that we are not to be like everyone else in this world. As believers in Jesus we are to value a relationship with Him above all else and this doesn't apply to just people my age; this need applies to all of us. To put Jesus first in everything is something I struggle with every day. I believe it is a struggle for all Christians. But the will to strain towards the goal is the first step to winning the prize. I pray that God will be able to sue me to ignite the fire in people I minister to through my singing and my songs. This is my goal and the desire of my heart."

"What sets me apart? You can hear a good singer any day of the week. But I'm the only one who can share my testimony. If I had to give you just one reason why to listen to my music or to come to my concert, it would be to hear the message behind the music. I do this because I know God has given me something to say and I know it is a message that needs to be heard.
My testimony is this:
I started high school two years ago at a large public school and my priority was to be popular and to fit in with the coolest crowd possible. Unfortunately for me at the time, I ended up not fitting in with any group at all, needless to say the popular crowd. For me, this was devastating. I began to feel invisible as I walked through the halls and since I had no social life, I assumed I must not have any worth as a person.
This experience went on for the entire year and it definately changed my perspective. I prayed so hard that year that God would deliver me from the school...and He did. I am now attending a very small private high school in my city. But it is not the "deliverance" that is the message I want to spread (Yet I did sort of feel like Moses and his people being delivered out of Egypt!) but the message that through the hardships and through the pain Jesus was with me. Through all of my physical loneliness, I was spiritually walking with my God the whole time. And He does this for all of us. In the times when we feel like no one will love us, He will love us.
This is my calling, as one of my mentors once said, 'To connect people's hearts with God's heart'."

Lyrics

Conformed to Christ

Written By: Casey Page Culbreth

Can you see our Lord?
Can you see His greatness?
Can you see our God?
Can you see His peace?

Oh, I wanna be like Him
I wanna be like Jesus
I wanna be like Him
I wanna be like Jesus
Conformed to Christ

I can see His eyes
Two balls of fire
I can see His smile
That is what I desire
Oh, I wanna be His slave
I wanna be His servant
I wanna be His friend
I wanna be His child

I wanna be like Him
I wanna be like Jesus
Conformed to Christ
I wanna be like Him
I wanna be like Jesus
Conformed to Christ

Can you see Him hanging there
On that cross of wood?
Can you see Him praying
"Father, do what You should"?
Oh, lets lay down our lives
Before the Savior
Lets give all our souls
To the holy One!

We wanna be like Him
We wanna be like Jesus
Conformed to Christ
We wanna be like Him
We wanna be like Jesus
Conformed to Christ

We're pressing on
Until the end of time
On to the prize
Conformed to Christ

Praise Be to God

Written By: Casey Page Culbreth

Long before time began
Our Father was roaming the earth
All alone, our great God
To His creation He gave birth
He created the stars
He created the land
He even created this creature
we call man
Now we had life
We could walk with our King
So let our praises ring!

Praise Be to God
He's our Master, our Creator, and our King
Praise Be to God
He's our Savior, our Redeemer, so let us sing
Praise Be to God

But we sinned
And broke this holy bond
We made our way through trouble's gates
But the battle Jesus has won!

Praise Be to God
He's our Master, our Creator, and our King
Praise Be to God
He's our Savior, our Redeemer, so let us sing
Praise Be to God

See we had this cross that we
Nailed Him upon
And on that cross our Savior died
It was His love for you
It was His love for us all
But don't you see, He is now alive!

Praise Be to God
He's our Master, our Creator, and our King
Praise Be to God
He's our Savior, our Redeemer, so let us sing
Praise Be to God

Free

I never said that I'd be perfect
I never said that I'd be sane
I never said that I'd be easy
I only warned that I'd cause strain

The only times I'm close to perfect
Are when I'm living unto You
The only times I'm close to easy
Are when I let You make me new

And I realize
That You've taken my life And made me free
As time goes by
You open my eyes and make me see
That you have changed me!

I never said that I'd stop loving You
I don't really think I can
I never said that I'd stop needing You
You are needed by every man

And as I grow I always know You've made me free
And as I mature
I'm becoming so sure that there will never be
Anything between You and me!

No one ever said that You should die for me
No one ever said that's what I deserve
No one ever said that You should care about me
My only purpose is to serve

But somehow
You've reached out and made me free
And I'll never know why
But You have entered my life
And You've touched my soul
Oh, You have made me whole!

I'll never see what You see in me
I'll never know how You love me so
But I'm still free
