Feeling a bit camera shy

Casey definitely has a musical style which is all her own. At 16 years of age, her mix of Christian Rock, Folk, and Pop is enhanced by her heartfelt lyrics which all speak about her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

"My mission is to reach out to my generation for God because I feel teenagers today are in desperate need of Christ and Salvation. I would like to spread the message that we are not to be like everyone else in this world. As believers in Jesus we are to value a relationship with Him above all else and this doesn't apply to just people my age; this need applies to all of us. To put Jesus first in everything is something I struggle with every day. I believe it is a struggle for all Christians. But the will to strain towards the goal is the first step to winning the prize. I pray that God will be able to sue me to ignite the fire in people I minister to through my singing and my songs. This is my goal and the desire of my heart."

"What sets me apart? You can hear a good singer any day of the week. But I'm the only one who can share my testimony. If I had to give you just one reason why to listen to my music or to come to my concert, it would be to hear the message behind the music. I do this because I know God has given me something to say and I know it is a message that needs to be heard.
My testimony is this:
I started high school two years ago at a large public school and my priority was to be popular and to fit in with the coolest crowd possible. Unfortunately for me at the time, I ended up not fitting in with any group at all, needless to say the popular crowd. For me, this was devastating. I began to feel invisible as I walked through the halls and since I had no social life, I assumed I must not have any worth as a person.
This experience went on for the entire year and it definately changed my perspective. I prayed so hard that year that God would deliver me from the school...and He did. I am now attending a very small private high school in my city. But it is not the "deliverance" that is the message I want to spread (Yet I did sort of feel like Moses and his people being delivered out of Egypt!) but the message that through the hardships and through the pain Jesus was with me. Through all of my physical loneliness, I was spiritually walking with my God the whole time. And He does this for all of us. In the times when we feel like no one will love us, He will love us.
This is my calling, as one of my mentors once said, 'To connect people's hearts with God's heart'."
