Bio

Cashiz Cavolli, was raised in the streets of Portsmouth, Virginia by way of the Jeffrey Wilson Projects. Cashiz Cavolli was always a Hip Hop head listening to original Hip Hop pioneers such as Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, MC Lyte and many others. Cashiz grew up in a bad environment, which lead him to be a product of his own environment which he explains in his song entitled “Ghetto”. Incarcerated back and forth since he was a teenager selling drugs in his community until it all caught up with him in late 2000 when he was arrested for drug possession, probation violation, and a hand full of traffic offenses.   Sentenced to 5 years and 13 months in the Department Of Corrections, he began writing rhymes as a hobby all while perfecting his craft.  During this intense incarceration, he received his General Education Diploma which helped him with his lyrics and format of writing. Cashiz would stay up late nights in his cell writing about his life, reflecting on the things he has not only seen but also been a part of. Conversing with his cellmate who recognized his talent, would encourage him to embrace his gift of music and use it as his tool toward success. Surrounded by convicts who would never see the streets again, with sentences ranging from 50 to 600 years, they were hoping to live their lives through him. Cashiz was the primetime highlight of the prison system as he won Rap battles, put on showcases, to being crowned the most lyrical. Released in October of 2006, Cashiz gave his brothers his word that he would carry their souls along with him on his journey to success. When he was finally released he kept his word by proceeding with his career, but without a purpose. Cashiz recorded well over 100 songs and was set to release his highly anticipated Mix CD entitled “Street Credibility”, but by early 2008 Cashiz caught a driving violation which would lead to incarceration if convicted. After making bond, Cashiz retained a lawyer and put his case off for 18 months giving him time to obtain his driver’s license .Facing time in three different cities because of prior convictions and probation time hanging over his head Cashiz was found guilty and sentenced to 3 years in prison total. It was back to the drawing board for Cashiz, but he made sure he had a purpose driven after this prison sentence. Now released as of September 4th 2012 Cashiz is back like he never left with various hits like “Candy” “ Closer” and” Radio”, and Mix CD set to be released entitled “Street Credibility”. Cashiz also linked up with producer GoGrizzly who is a producer signed with Mike Caren’s label (APG/Warner Chappelle) with a few tracks set to be released early 2014. With a passion for music and good faith and determination Cashiz is destine for stardom. Cashiz has a vision beyond survival and can paint a vivid picture with lyrical content. Cashiz interest is in the future, because that’s where he plans to spend the rest of his life at. With a chance to deliver his skills and ability in a field where he is confident he will win the game. “The Introductory of Cashiz” Coming soon……
