Cashmase is an American singer, songwriter, rapper from San Diego, California. Cashmase initially gained recognition as a contestant on the Game Show Network hit television series Family Feud at age 15. He also was nationally recognized as a division one football standout at Montana State University. Intent to pursuing a career as a singer he moved to Denver, Colorado and began recording at Side 3 Studios. After working as a studio songwriter there and recording top lines for Grammy winning producer DJ Frank E (See You Again ft. Charlie Put), Cashmase decided to focus in on his solo career. Looking to reinvent himself as an artist in 2016, Cashmase began writing a series of songs in a new style which resulted with a breakout single titled "Don't Wanna Know"which amassed over 1.1 million views on YouTube. That same year he landed his first major song placement with the billion dollar company Spanx.
