CASHRACA

Born in Queens, NY, raised in Brooklyn then my family
migrated to Newark, NJ. A child of Haitian descent out of 3 raised by a single
mother who profession was a seamstress came up like a lot of kids. Exploring
the area of Newark experiencing the wonderful educational system. I went to
school at Lincoln elementary, Vailsburg middle formally Vailsburg High where
the Fugees Prakazrel and Wyclef attended and graduated to North 13 Essex
County Vocational then Westside High where local and international rap star RED
MAN attended. I started writing rhymes when hip hop had a slew of young artist
out like Shyheim, Da Youngstas who work with local icons Naughty by Nature,
Kriss Kross and others. I was inspired to do more when I saw the youth making
it happen. I applied my knowledge of self and my culture to come up with a
style of my own. While in Westside I linked up with my best friends Faheem
(Vincci) Davis , Raheem Davis my producer brother of award winning director
Raoman Davis of ITCHYHOUSE FILMS who done the Naughty by Nature documentary and
currently video touring. During my senior year at Westside Island Records came
to the school with a project entitled BORN TO BE STAR. CEO Hiram Hicks along
with local legends Lords of the Underground met the senior class for
presentation. They gave us an actual video project to work on. We did a song
for Newark detailing the plights and opportunities out here. It was a
conscience song. I also directed the video for it. I learned about expanding my
music to a broader audience from that experience. Last year I was requested by
the Mayor’s office of Newark to attend and perform at the BETTER BLOCK NEWARK
event on Lyons and Bergen (performance available on YouTube CASHRAC) bringing
good music, good vibes and positive energy. I’m very into doing community
events. I want to give back to a city that has giving me so much. Right now I’m
currently on tour that I set up myself.  My name is CASHRAC you will not be
disappointed.
