Bio

Charles Bryant, affectionately
known as “Cash” is producing
some of the freshest variety
of sounds to come out of the
City of Newark in quite some
time. Equal parts Common and
Bob Dylan, this young singersongwriterrapper
has been
defying expectations for most
of his life, and audiences are
taking notice.
Cash started, like many of his
era, with the sounds of Tupac,
Biggie Smalls, and A Tribe Called
Quest at the age of 10. Not long
after that, he was dominating
rap battles at the Fight Club. He
quickly realized that the competitive
nature of these events
was not the only way to elevate
the music scene as a whole.
It was then that he set out to
create a new style of music,
one that would transcend any
before it and bring a variety
of genres together to a higher
level not yet felt or heard.

He picked up the guitar while signing
on to perform with the DreamCatchers,
an up and coming
collection of positive
young talent out of central
New Jersey, who share Cash’s grand worldview. Cash
has pursued all of these goals with an unrivaled
ambition. Whether singing behind his acoustic
guitar or rapping with his fellow Dream Catchers,
and many times doing both in the same evening,
Cash has honed his skills and wowed audiences
across the tristate
area in such venues as Dolce,
the Bowery Poetry Club, the Coffee Cave, the 78
Lounge, the Key Club, Laura’s Lounge, and the
Seed Art Gallery.
With each day, Cash’s sounds continue to evolve
and the world takes more notice. This dynamic
young man is among the most original, talented,
and interesting artists the East Coast currently
has to offer, and his future just looks even better.
His anticipated new rock band, Cash & The
Dead Men, channeling his love of Jimi Hendrix,
Radiohead, Nirvana and N.E.R.D., will be debuting
soon. . He still mesmerizes fans with his favorite
weapon, the acoustic guitar. Cash, though ever
mindful of his next step, takes it all in stride. “I
am just living my music, trying to bring it all to
life,” says the versatile performer between chords.
“I want to bring a different light to the city of
Newark, let everything shine as it should.” The
days look forever bright, for both Cash and his
city.
