Nickname: CASIA

I am a lyricist who is interested in collaborating with musicians and singers. I have a melody for most of my lyrics which may be helpful as a starting point.

My lyrics can fit a variety of genres and it is only limited by the imagination of the partnership.

I love words and have spent the majority of this year writing songs and learning the business. I spend every waking moment (and sleeping moments too) thinking of ideas for songs that stand out from the norm, have a sense of humour and are meaningful to the listener - and a whole lot of fun.

Hope to hear from you.

Fool in a Parallel World

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(INTRO)
I’ve checked into a Holiday Inn
Clean white cotton sheets, are my only friends
Four empty drinking glasses staring at me
I put my feet up turn on the TV
...
I’m tryin’ to piece my life together
From an old magazine

(CHORUS)
Nickel and dime me don’t re-define me
30 white angels will never find me
I’m just a fool in a parallel world
(Just a fool in a parallel world)

(V1)
I left my notebook back on the bus
An observer in my universe
I’m detached watchin’ other’s play
One day I’ll have the last say

(CHORUS)

(V2)
I’m at the hotel pool late at night
No one else skinny dippin’ in sight
Sippin’ a glass of pure loneliness
I’m missing you I must confess

(CHORUS)

(BRIDGE)
I’m in love with love
I don’t regret regrets
Piecing my life together
Smokin’ cigarettes
Gum wrapper notes stuck to my shoe
I can’t live another day without you
Another day, another day
Another day without you

(OUTRO)
Today is my day
I’ll have the last say
Wine me and dine me
Don’t ever never mind me
I’m just a fool in a parallel world
A fool in a parallel world

Fades....
I'm a fool
(Just a fool)
I'm a fool
(Just a fool)

Drunk on Love and Wine

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(V1)
Sitting in a café down on Lonely Street
I feel the rhythm of my slow heart beat
You’re watchin’, from a corner of the room
Loneliness clings to me, like bad perfume

(CHORUS)
We’re two of a kind
Drunk on love and wine
Always left, two steps behind
Falling again, from cloud nine

(V2)
I’ve seen you before, not lookin’ too refined
Sitting in this café, pulling down your blind
Can’t sleep, or is something just not right
Do you plan on wandering, Lonely Street all night

(CHORUS)

(V3)
You can lean on me I’m strong as a wall
Soft as a pillow to catch you when you fall
The neon light is fading with the dawn
Come on over here, before the wine’s gone

(CHORUS)

(BRIDGE)
Maybe this is destiny
Sitting here, you and me
On these worn, torn, vinyl seats
In this café on Lonely Street
I’ve become accustomed
To your hurting eyes
My stranger in the corner
One too many good-byes

(OUTRO)
There’ll be no sugar tonight
Just hold my hand
And tell me everything’s
Gonna be alright

That’s right, I’m telling you
Everything’s gonna be alright

Everything is, gonna be alright
Be alright

Watch The Sun Come Up

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(V1)
I’m stuck in a dream where lovers are blind
A fire burns leaving ashes in my mind
A renegade cloud lingers in my room
To remind me of my lonely nights

(CHORUS)
Open the door; climb into my bed
Take one step inside of my head
Chase away the demons
That have risen from the dead
And I’ll walk a perfect line
Show you that you’re mine
Just hold me (hold me)
We'll watch the sun come up

(V2)
Too many sips in my glass of wine
Wild thoughts raging through my mind
Whispers that haunt in the middle of the night
Are all part; part of my secret life

(CHORUS)

(BRIDGE)
Come into my bed and stay with me tonight
I'll share my secret and everything will be alright
Be the one to live in both of my worlds
And save me (save me)
We'll watch the sun come up

(OUTRO)
I’m stuck in a dream where lovers are blind
A fire burns leaving ashes in my mind
A renegade cloud lingers in my room
To remind me of my lonely nights

Be the one to live in both of my worlds
And hold me
We'll watch the sun come up

Jelly Beans and Parked Car

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(INTRO)
As I’m walkin’ down the street
With a head full of dreams
Standing on the corner
Is a young James Dean

He’s a hunk of a man
In tight blue jeans
A snug fittin’ body and bulging T
Pak of cigs rolled into his sleeve

(CHORUS)
Bryle cream and fallen stars
Jelly beans and parked cars
Pearly whites shining bright
Sub races late at night
Mumbo on the jungle floor
Down on all fours
James Dean oo-la-la

(V1)
My heart is a racin’ like a wind-up toy
My ever-ready batt’ries runnin’ high
I try not to smile as I walk by
But his James Dean body is makin’ me cry

(CHORUS)
Bryle cream and fallen stars
Jelly beans and parked cars
Pearly whites shining bright
Sub races late at night
Mumbo on the jungle floor
Down on all fours
James Dean oo-la-la

(V2)
James Dean is rugged to the bone
A chiseled face and he’s sportin’ a comb
A man out of time, I’d call him vain
But his kinda lovin’ drives women insane

(CHORUS)
Bryle cream and fallen stars
Jelly beans and parked cars
Pearly whites shining bright
Sub races late at night
Mumbo on the jungle floor
Down on all fours
James Dean oo-la-la

(BRIDGE)
Can he hear my thoughts I’m just a fool
A woman like me loves a man who’s cool
A moment in time; a cup a divine
I walk by with my head held high
James Dean, good-bye, oooh-la-la

(OUTRO)
Standing on the corner
In tight blue jeans
Is a hunk of a man
A young James Dean
Snug fitting body, bulging T
Pak of cigs rolled into his sleeve

James Dean
My oh my good-bye
My oh my, oooh-la-la
I’m walkin’ by
Tempting temptation
Oo-la-la-la-la-la-la
Tempting temptation

Who Can She Be

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(V1)
I’m not sitting home with my heart of stone
Waiting for your lies on the telephone
Wasting my life cause you’re not here
Our love has floated away on a river of tears

(CHORUS)
I can’t forgive
I won’t forget
All my days and nights of loneliness
I’d rather be on my own
Lonely and alone
Than be your other woman

(V2)
The strands of hair on your clothes aren’t mine
Scented gloss on your lips ain’t wine, at all
Lies you breath have become see through
I’m sending sleeping dogs to chase after you

(CHORUS)
I can’t forgive
I won’t forget
All my days and nights of loneliness
I’d rather be on my own
Lonely and alone
Than be your other woman

(BRIDGE)
Those red, red roses are not for me
Your weekend trip, that hotel key
Late night calls and sneaking down the hall
The woman you love, who can she be
Another mark upon your hollow tree
The other woman that you love, who is she
I thought somehow that our love was meant to be

(CHORUS)
I can’t forgive
I won’t forget
All my days and nights of loneliness
I’d rather be on my own
Lonely and alone
Than be your other woman

(OUTRO)
You’re love is not for me
I’m gonna run wild and free
Those sleeping dogs will one day catch you
But I’ll never be lonely as the other woman

I Think of You

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(V1)
My body aches for what it cannot have
My mind plays games and tries to drive me mad
When I reach for you you’re not there
You’re not there
You’ve somehow slipped away

(CHORUS)
I think of you
I close my eyes
You’re on a distant shore
You’re the one
That I’ve been dreaming of
Your heart knocks on my door
And leaves me wanting more
Wanting more
But there’s nothing at all that I can do

(V2)
My dreams of madness are awaiting me
I see your face light up as you explore
You’re so close that I can almost touch
Almost touch
Then the vision fades away

(CHORUS)
I think of you
I close my eyes
You’re on a distant shore
You’re the one
That I’ve been dreaming of
Your heart knocks on my door
And leaves me wanting more
Wanting more
But there’s nothing at all that I can do

(BRIDGE)
You’re the only one who makes me laugh
You’re the only one who makes me feel
A fiery passion deep inside
I have my dreams
A lover’s screams
And frosty lips
Upon my window sill
Who are you
Why have you come
Breathing in the moon and tides
You’re the only one for me

(OUTRO)
I close my eyes
And I think of you
My heart is wanting more
Wanting more

Perfect Man

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(V1)
In the twilight hours
I see the stars shine
They whisper to me
Wrong place, wrong time

My thoughts of you
Linger on and on
I can’t forget you
I’m not that strong

(LIFT)
They say perfection is hard to find
But I know deep in my mind

(CHORUS)
You were perfect for me
You showed me who I am
You will always be my perfect man

(V2)
From the time we met
My heart was on fire
All of my troubles
Were soothed by your smile

All of your words
Fed my troubled soul
Releasing the emptiness
Making me whole

(CHORUS)
You were perfect for me
You showed me who I am
You will always be my perfect man

(BRIDGE)
You’re in my special place
You’re in my heart
You’ll be there forever
That’s a comforting thought

Time has played a cruel trick
What can I do
But hold your memory
And dream of you

(CHORUS)
You were perfect for me
You showed me who I am
You will always be my perfect man

Perfect man
Wrong place, wrong time

Desperation Alley

Written By: Katherine (Heinrichs) Wong

(V1)
In a hamburger joint
Late one afternoon
Sat a thin old woman
Waiting for the moon

In a ragged dress
And worn out shoes
She drank a cup of coffee
And whistled a tune

(CHORUS)
When you’ve got the blues
Feeding your soul
Desperation alley
Is the place to go
Desperation alley
Is like eating gold

(V2)
Guitar rebel
Left home at nine
Wandered the streets
Livin’ off a dimes

Born in the back
Of an old blues bar
She had sad in her soul
Since the day she was born

(CHORUS)
When you’ve got the blues
Feeding your soul
Desperation alley
Is the place to go
Desperation alley
Is like eating gold

Me and my guitar
Leetching off the streets
Traveled from Witchita
In under a week

I was on a trip
To anywhere
I needed a burger
And a place to say a prayer

(CHORUS)
When you’ve got the blues
Feeding your soul
Desperation alley
Is the place to go
Desperation alley
Is like eating gold

(BRIDGE)
Forever
We three shall meet
Entwined in the blues
Wearing worn out shoes
Forever
Playin’ our tunes
Livin’ off the streets
Singing under the moon

(CHORUS)
When you’ve got the blues
Feeding your soul
Desperation alley
Is the place to go
Desperation alley
Is like eating gold

Desperation alley
Is the place to go

Lonely Hearts in Lonely Clubs

Written By: Katherine Wong / Alistair Sutherland

(V1)
Don’t think about the days to come
Our lover’s hearts won’t beat as one
Come and share my emptiness
Forget the words we leave unsaid

(V2)
Satin sheets under the stars
The passin’ sound of passin’ cars
Window wide; the moon shines in
The rhythm of skin…on skin

(CHORUS)
Lonely hearts in lonely clubs
Lookin’ for a little love
Strangers touchin’ in the night
In the morning outta sight
Moving on with no regrets
One night without loneliness
(Just one night)

(V3)
Take me now I need your touch
Your lips to mine would mean so much
Yeh, rising higher, deep inside
Passion without compromise

(BRIDGE)
Two stranger’s hearts bleed as one
For just one night while makin' love
Eyes wide shut; forget the pain
That drives our lonesome hearts insane

(OUTRO)
Lonely hearts in lonely clubs
Lookin’ for a little love
If you were mine for just one night
If you were mine for just one night
If I could have you
If I could have you
For just one night
For just one night
For just one night

Woman in Indigo

Written By: Katherine Wong / Don Sechelski

Woman in Indigo

(V1)
She said she was kind
So gentle an’ sweet
Now she’s walkin’ another path
Changing her beat
She knocks at my door
I see she’s digressed
Flirts like the women
That I bless and undress

(CHORUS)
She’s the woman in indigo
Devil in blue
I knew all along
She was stirrin’ a brew
She’s the woman in indigo
Devil in blue
I knew it was wrong
But what could I do

(V2)
Now she lies and she cheats
Has an alibi
For every little fling
That she as on the side
She’s haunting my dreams
Wearing seven shades of black
Imposing her schemes
With devil on her back

(CHORUS)
She’s the woman in indigo
Devil in blue
I knew all along
She was stirrin’ a brew
She’s the woman in indigo
Devil in blue
I knew it was wrong
But what could I do

(BRIDGE)
Better run away
From indigo blue
Woman in Indigo

(V3)
She’d met the devil
They made a pack
Now my life is sliding
Deeper into black
It’s too late to think
About right and wrong
The woman in my bed
Is the devil’s pawn

(CHORUS)
She’s the woman in indigo
Devil in blue
I knew all along
She was stirrin’ a brew
She’s the woman in indigo
Devil in blue
I knew it was wrong
But what could I do

(V4)
She said she was kind
So gentle an’ sweet
Now she’s walkin’ another path
Changing her beat
She knocks at my door
I see she’s digressed
Flirts like the women
That I bless and undress

(BRIDGE)
Better run away
From indigo blue
