"Casia"

"It's not too often that you'll find a lyricist rise into the public eye but that's exactly what's happening with Casia. Her heartfel words and expressive use of imagery have captured the attention of musicians around the world....Casia dares to disturb the universe!"

Kickradio i-magazine, pages 43-46, May 2009 - Kickradio i-magazine

"Casia Disturbs the Universe"

Destiny's Fire - Best New Song on the Top 40 charts "Casia's heartfelt words and impressive use of imagery have captured the attention of musicians around the world. You never know where she will lead you. One moment you'll be lost in tears of anguish wondering down a dark lonely alley and the next moment you'll be wrapped in cellophone dancing the night away at the perfect party"

Kickradio i-Magazine May 2009 - Kickradio i-magazine

"Bleeding Hearts"

"Led by Casia, a lyricist from Canada, a group of multi-national musicians came together on-line to produce an original song and video to help raise funds for victims of the Haiti Earthquake on January 12, 2010. They come from Canada, Sweden, USA, France, Italy and Scotland. Their song is now available worldwide through Elppa records on the compilation album "Hearts for Haiti"."

"Casia - One Busy Girl"

"She is one busy girl and very intensely involved in her love of music. Definitely an artist I will now watch with my ears glued to the internet, so to speak. And speaking of listening, I found her music an extremely pleasurable experience. The melodies rock with syncopated perfection, the vocals reach tonal bliss and the lyrics are inspiring tales of love, doubt and the constant pursuit of inner awareness. A note must also be made as to the "Alice in Wonderland" influence in "Dark Demons". Being a huge fan of Lewis Carroll, I immediately felt at home with her music and flowed with the rhythm of her words. "

I bow to my collaborators who span countries and continents. Together we are a mountain, changing the world one song at a time. If my words can make one person smile ... one person cry ... move one person to action, then I am all that I was meant to be.

Current Status - March 2010: I am please to let everyone know that I've set up a new page for my collaborations with Ray Sharp of British Columbia. We are working on our 12th song together so I thought it was time. You can listen to our tunes here on indiemusicworks: http://www1.indiemusicworks.com/Ray_and_Kay/. Hope you enjoy!

I am working on a one-hour musical tribute to bass player Marc Traynor who died on March 10,2010 of cancer. He was a friend and collaborator who made beautiful music with musicians from around the world and with his internet band "Cool Beyond Zero". This tribute will be aired sometime in June on blogtalk radio '"Indie on Air" with interviews from some really close musical buddies.

Current Status - February 2010: I just finished production of a song dedicated to the tragedy in Haiti called "Bleeding Hearts". My song was picked up by Elppa Records out of Texas and is song No. 1 on their Haiti Relief Album "Hearts for Haiti" and is available through several on-line stores such as amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Hearts-For-Haiti/dp/B00384KN2U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1267804494&sr=8-2 . A personal thank you to: Bjorn Pehrson (Sweden), Jessica Rasche (USA), Pascal Borowczyk (France), Tracy Knight (USA), Alberto Quadri (Italy), Cory Frey (USA). Enrico Nichelatti (Italy), and Rab (Scotland). A special thanks to Michael Woodford (UK/Germany) who put together a video for us available on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvPrldTi1M

I am excited to be selected as an on-line music Scout for new and emerging international artists for Romanza 2012, located in St. Augustine, Florida. It's a multi-day, multi-arts celebration similar to Spoleto in Charleston. I'm working directly with Albert Syeles, Romanza President/CEO; Composer, former AT&T Executive and music collaborator. Here is our newly released website if you'd like to know more about us: http://www.romanzafl.org/. Please contact me directly if you have what it takes to perform here and I'd love to see a live video of you peforming for evaluation purposes.

My album "Destiny's Fire" with Yolande Strauss (South Africa), Adam Kirby (USA), Matt Kaprelian (USA) and Enrico Nichelatti (Italy) is moving along slowly, but we're just about ready to release our newest single "Text Me". I'll be vamping up to begin promotion of our album...can't wait!

Well, February is OVER: I was the project leader organizing a group of fourteen musicians from the USA to put together "Wired" magazine's album in a month for February. We are called "Two of Seven Minds". This was my first time collaborating with this group but I'm glad to say it was a lot of laughs and we did manage to complete the album on time and send it in - WooHoo! We will continue to improve on our final mixing before I download to my sites: http://twoofsevenminds.rpmchallenge.com/ I also wrote lyrics for the "Album in a Month" with Kompoz again so was pleased to have three songs on that album as well which was successfully completed and sent in at the very last minute :)!

I'm excited to let you know that my band "Benny and the Misplaced Texans" is working on a distribution agreement to have our songs available through several on-line music stores in the USA, Canada, Japan, Germany and Mexico. Thanks Benny Moore (Texas), Henry Mittnatch (Germany), Dave Patterson (Canada), Andy Gupta (Canada), Ian Burrage (England), Ken Grover (USA) and Mark Morgan-Shaw (England). Check out "Again and Again" just completed: http://www.indiemusicworks.com/misplaced_texans

I am pleased to let everybody know that we have a new member in our band, Dave Patterson (Vancouver, Canada). I did my very first on-line collaboration with Dave called "Dark Demons". This song actually hit "No. 1" on Ourstage and has been voted song No. 1 for a CD Rock compilation as well. Not only is Dave a "Hot Rocker Guitarist" he is an amazing painter and I've used one of his paintings for my album "Destiny's Fire" with Yolande Strauss. Welcome Dave, can't wait to move forward with some of your tunes xxx.

My epic rock album from Stonehinged: "Trevor and Roger's 13 Stygian Tales" has been at a bit of a stand-still due to "real-life" activities lol! But I guarantee you, that we have some "heavy stuff" coming your way, right guys...Ian Burrage (England), Jay Schankman (USA), Billy Playle (England), Andy Gupta (Canada). And, to prove it, check out our latest single "Mary Ann": http://www.indiemusicworks.com/stonehinged.

Radio Casbah will be launching its new website soon. An internet radio station that I am involved with streaming out of Atlanta, USA. I'll keep you informed. http://w
