Bio

Casino
Born William Jose Colon in Ponce Puerto Rico and raised in Coamo until the age of 18, Casino is no stranger to music. With influences ranging from Vico C, MC Ceja, Tempo, Mexicano, all the way to Wu-Tang Clan, Jay Z, Nas, Outkast and Doctor Dre, you can tell that his musical tastes are versatile. In 1998 he was flowing in pure Spanish until he moved to Chicago and had to learn English the hard way. It took him about 8 months to overcome the language barrier. He has been the opening act to several of the industry’s top dogs including Lito y Polaco, Don Omar, Baby Ranks, Falo, Bebe, Dj Davie, Big Boy, Etc. He has been included in some of the hottest shows worldwide, including the Puerto Rican Festival in Chicago, La Cupula Colombian Festival in Chicago, Viva Chicago Festival, Calle 8 in Miami, Hip Hop Fest in Colombia, G and G's in New York, Club Mecca in Indiana, Etc. He has been featured in various newspapers and magazines around the world such as Hoy (Chicago and Colombia editions). He has also been on THE ROOF, a Latin music show on Mun 2.

Best known for his freestyle, he never passes up the chance to jump on an open mic or into a battle and tear it up. If someone is giving him a mic, he is there to deliver satisfaction. He has worked on collaborations with several different artists all around the world, including Los Nandez, Don Evoua, Pr-ism, Lissette, Sin Igual, Asosiado, Miar, G Cardona, Homicide Crew, Miss Rose, El Manicomio, Messaia, Colombo, Etc. Being featured with other artists on projects is important to Casino because he realizes that it unifies the industry to have everyone working together for the same things. Casino’s debut album will be dropping in the Spring of 2006. Be on the lookout for more from this Chicago Puerto Rican. He is the next BIG thing to come out of Chicago. He was just nominated for the Chicago Music Awards as the Best Reggaeton Entertainer. Being unique and talented are two things that make him different from the rest. He humbly asks you to let his music speak for itself.
