Feeling a bit camera shy
Bio
"I'll never play the stupid piano again!" As a youth, this was my prevailing thought when my music teacher, Ms. Forney, died. Over the next few years, I forgot how to read notes, but I never lost my love for music, and sporadically made up little songs by ear. In my late teens, I became very religious and went on to spend years as a zealous false convert, thinking my good deeds were scoring me brownie-points with God. I got married and after my first child was born, I was hungry for a spiritual experience and ended up deep in the Word Faith Movement. This song, I Love You, is my ode to the Lord, for rescuing me from that cult and saving me from sin. He freed me from the bondage of loving self and money. He gave me a love for the truth and I now know that God is not my slave, I am His.
