Bio

Cassidy-Rae - a name you’ll want to remember.  Wandering songstress, Sydney-born and raised, this acoustic singer-songwriter is stunning audiences around the world with her mesmerising vocals, entertaining performances and heartfelt songs about love and life.  With an ever expanding list of places to be, this young entertainer is rarely found in one place for too long. Turning heads ever since she won the starring role in her first school play, Cassidy-Rae’s love of music was evident. But the early inception of passion began years before in the family home where she was singing before she could talk and followed in her brothers footsteps, learning piano at two years old.  A stand out student in her school choir and a proud member and leader within the prestigious Australian Girls Choir, some of her more exclusive, noteworthy performances include former President of the United States, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Hugh Jackman at the launch of Les Miserables premiere and The Pope in Rome.

Influenced by country and pop artists such as Taylor Swift, Delta Goodrem and Carrie Underwood, Cassidy-Rae has been creating her own delightful blend of country pop music for a number of years now.  A highly gifted vocalist and songwriter, Cassidy-Rae has embarked on a trailblazing journey of her own starting with the debut of her original country-pop EP “Wanted”. Acclaimed as a powerful and uplifting journey, Wanted is a melodic recount of life, love and successes of Cassidy-Rae that have shaped her into the woman she is today. Wanted helped to pave the way towards a myriad of new music including her stand out single “Just Smile” which was performed live in France.

Cassidy-Rae’s love of connecting with people led her to her position as Youth Ambassador of the Sydney Hills Shire Council and her community initiative, the “Sydney Hills Youth Choir” - a free choir created and launched by Cassidy-Rae, providing young people with an opportunity to perform Australian country songs and be involved with council and community events.

Recently, Cassidy-Rae has turned to the high seas, entertaining thousands each week around the United States, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Mexico and Jamaica on board Carnival Cruise Lines as a Piano Bar Entertainer, playing her favourite country tunes.  For those fortunate enough to meet her, they’ve seen firsthand why she really does put the POP in the country pop genre.  A highly gifted vocalist, Cassidy-Rae has been spreading warmth to the hearts of people worldwide - as a recent graduate of the Country Music Academy of Australia, Cassidy-Rae enjoys working with other artists and performing at various locations Australia wide including at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Blue Water Country Music Festival, Ballina Country Music Festival, Sydney Blues and Roots Festival, Basin Music Festival and more.

Having recently completed her degree in Music and Arts, Industries and Management, Cassidy-Rae is shifting her focus to releasing original music throughout 2019 and 2020.

Her latest single, More, is more than just words put to music; more than the angelic vocals and heartfelt lyrics you’ll have on repeat; this uplifting song connects with everyone reminding them that they are more than the opinions of others.  Recorded at Love Hz Studios with Michael Carpenter, More debuted at number 3 on the iTunes Country Music Charts, reached over 15,000 streams on Spotify and has had national and international airplay on community, commercial and regional radio stations.  The accompanying music video has soared to 100,000 views, being featured in the Top 30 Countdown on the CMC Charts allowing Cassidy-Rae to reach a wider audience and remind them that they are worth more.

Her upcoming single, Throwback, is a country-pop love song throwing it back to the good old days.  It was co-written with Katrina Burgoyne, an Australian artist based in Nashville.  Recently on her trip to Nashville, NSAI member Cassidy-Rae performed Throwback acoustically at the infamous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, in front of Rick Barker (former manager for Taylor Swift) on Music Row, live on stage at The Row with Katrina as well as other venues around Nashville.
