Bio
Cassidy Waring is an autoharpin' songstress with lungs full of honesty. She moved to Vancouver from the Alberta prairies is 2013 with her electric autoharp – an impulse purchase thanks to love at first strum. Now with an EP and dozens of original tunes under her belt, you may spot her at folk shows around the city. She spent two months busking around Ireland and Scotland in the fall of 2015 and has returned to Canada's rainy city to focus on her first full length album.
Her current body of work picks apart the different forms of trauma aftermath. The creeping in of genetic habits, social anxiety, fighting depression and managing abandonment issues that seep into present relationships. The long term affects of adolescent trauma. Her passion is creating tangible connections with her audience; a safe space where messy feelings and harsh experiences are explored candidly and unfiltered.
She combines powerhouse vocals with the haunting sounds of the autoharp for a one of a kind performance. With unapologetic lyrics and a raw delivery, she fearlessly welcomes you into her book of personal experience.
