Bio
Growing up singing and composing, it was no surprise the ease at which song-writing came to Cassi Gray. After picking up a guitar in high school, her original songs always offer refreshing lyrics and a catchy melody. Her style has been compared to other great artists such as Joni Mitchell, Ani Difranco, and Fiona Apple.
While Cassi's original music is mostly acoustic, she continues to develop her reputation as a jazz vocalist. Whether backed by a trio or by the members of her jazz a cappella group, her voice always captures the audience's interest
Currently, she is completing a double major in Music Education and Vocal Jazz Performance at the University of Southern Maine. She plans to graduate in Spring 2009.
