With Strokes-level urgency and a pop-grande hook, "The Noise", the latest single from Sydney's Castlecomer struts in straight from a time before "indie" was a mis-leading label (or even a genre all itself). Double-time anxiousness, undertones of bitterness and a contrasting, explosive chorus — simple enough formula, right? New Castlecomer! Yes! The band have been in the studio through early 2016 working on their new EP All of the Noise, but have now given us a taste of what to be expecting in new single “The Noise”. It’s a great little addition to the list of impressive tunes the band have been churning out over the past year; the melodies are strong and memorable, the pop tones and rhythm driving the song adding to what is quite an uplifting and energetic number.
