"Guilt trips and apathy - album review"

Instead of hearing the same sad songs about relationships, make-up and break-ups, this EP is focused on real life situations and human emotions on a daily scale. I would consider this to be a highly emotionally charged EP. This EP gets you to stop and think about your personal life choices. - Liberate justice entertainment

Bio

Casuist; noun: a person who uses clever but unsound reasoning, especially in relation to moral questions Formed in 2018 in Los Angeles, the punk quartet Casuist has been rocking out since the beginning, with live performances dating back to the same year. Their power comes from the veteran members, whose roots reside in home-grown punk acts such as Socialized Crucifixion, Lack of Motivation and No Heroes. Their latest recorded live performance was at the recent Bridge City Fest in March of 2021 playing alongside Yotham Ben Horin and Daze-n-Daze. Where others may choose to externalize their concerns, the message of Casuist is to seek growth by finding the answers within ourselves. Their grassroots attitude is reflected in their production, with the band self-releasing over a dozen songs since 2020. Their first album, Guilt Trips and Apathy, was recorded mostly in frontman Ben Frank's bedroom studio. Dismal Year and their latest track, Louder, were produced by Andy Alonzo, Front of house engineer for MxPx, Slick Shoes, and Zebra Head. Louder (another protest song) is an eclectic punk rock track that will take you on a wild ride. With pulse-pounding guitars, slammin' drums and an attitude that's equally in-your-face and inspirational; Louder proves it's more than just “another protest song."
