Bio

Lenae A. Harris, aka Cataclysmicsounds, is a highly sought after force in the music industry. A native of "Chi-town"/Chicago, this cellist, pianist, composer, and producer, began her long and prestigious musical career at the age of six studying piano with Ryna Krysiak. She later, at age eleven, added the cello to her arsenal studying with Elizabeth Anderson at the Merit School of Music where she had the rare opportunity to perform in a master class with cellist Yo-Yo Ma. As a young protege, she performed in several orchestras and chamber ensembles including, Chicago Teen Ensemble, Protege Philharmonic, Classical Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Greenwich Village Orchestra. As if performance was not enough, Lenae had a strong desire to score for film and decided to add it to her studies receiving both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Composition. Her musical versatility seems limitless. Though classically trained in piano and cello, Lenae has performed with several R&B, pop, rock, and hip-hop acts in Chicago and New York. She has worked with such diverse musical personalities as: Jeremy James, Maya Azucena, Stori James, Abby Dobson, Mike Viola and the Candy Butchers, Imani Uzuri, Tamar Kali, Cetacea, The Majnun Band, Stereobus, Russell Taylor and many more. Lenae is an active performer, composer and upcoming producer residing in Brooklyn. Currently, she is composing the original score music for the upcoming release of "Dirty Laundry", written and directed by Maurice Jamal. Her most recently completed projects include, producing "Get Live" and co-producing "Anything You Ask For" for The Game on the recent CD release G.A.M.E., and peforming in the upcoming film, Colored Frames, directed by Lerone Wilson. In 2005, she co-produced "Family Feud" for The Dayton Family's CD release "Family Feud". In 2004, she composed and peformed the score for "The Cello", written and directed by Barbara Holguin, which was premiered at The New York International Latino Film Festival in 2004. When not performing, Lenae is composing and producing music to share with everyone. Her influences cross genres encompassing just about every style there is.
