Catfish Mustache

Catfish Mustache combines influences from funk, soul, hip hop, reggae, blues and countless others to form a completely unique sound. Master shreds on the guitar, steady rhythmic beats on the drums, funky bass lines and soulful singing complemented by rap verses keeps the music venues in the greater Phoenix area sounding funky.

Catfish Mustache truly formed in the early nineties when the three band members were in junior high. As cousins, Brandon and Eric grew up with each other since birth. They met Tania at school and formed a unique and everlasting bond. They didn't know it then, that one day they would accidentally start a funky ass band.

Years passed and each one eventually moved to Arizona. Each at different times and for different reasons. One day, in the summer of 2007, they found themselves trying to write enough songs to perform a full set at a show booked for the end of the week. At that time Eric's band, The Aboriginees, had booked a show where one of the members couldn't attend. Not wanting to cancel the show at the last minute, Eric enlisted the help of two of his closest friends. The night they stepped on the stage together for the first time, they officially became Catfish Mustache. They have been rockin stages ever since.
