Biography

Cat Knebel is a young, aspiring country music artist with enormous determination and passion for her dreams. She is dedicated to her love for music and wants to share the happiness it brings her with all she can.
Cat has very unique vocal and styling patterns. Her sound has been compared to Dolly Parton and Heidi Newfield. Her songwriting is melodic, clean, and tuneful, with very thought invoking lyrics. She fills the gap between pop and down to earth country.
The spirited artist is currently working on writing and recording her first album. Her journeys in performing have taken her around her home state of Indiana, to Colorado and Tennessee. She has performed at the Indiana State Fair and The Stage in Nashville, and will be making her way around the states at various shows this summer.
Cat grew up on an Angus farm in Northern Indiana, where she says she developed a strong work ethic and love for country music. While loading hay with her grandpa, she became accustomed to listening to country music legends like Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and Johnny Cash, who have all influenced her style.
Cat began singing in church at an early age and continued in her school's choir and musicals. It was there she discovered her love for the microphone, stage, and her audiences. It is apparent to those watching, that her experiences from acting in theatre are what give her a “one-up” on other performers. She is energetic, vibrant, and her personality and smile are simply contagious. Her on-stage spontaneity and genuine nature hold audiences until the very end. Cat brings a freshness to live country music shows!

Lyrics

The Beginning of Goodbye

Written By: Catherine Knebel

Well I can’t bring myself to tell me, that it’s over,
And I can’t take the news for breaking down to cry,
But I can see it in the morning and I can see it in your eyes,
We’re at the end of summer, the beginning of goodbye…..

Well I can’t buy myself a reason for believing,
And I can’t say the words to tell me that it’s done,
And I can no more see tomorrow, than a teardrop in the sky,
We’re at the end of summer, the beginning of goodbye…..

We can try to deny, our love is fading,
But we both know that love left long ago,
Deep inside I‘m holding on and waiting,
Cuz there’s a part of me, that never can let go..

My Perfect Imaginary Guy

Written By: Catherine Knebel

Feels like the first time I’ve ever been in love.
Unbroken, Undoubted, Unconditional….

My… heart is racing. I can’t keep up,
I’m falling in love
With someone my mind has made up.
Can’t see your face, but I can feel your smile,
In the way I believe you touch.
I hear your voice, it’s like you're here,
But when I look you disappear.
Just close my eyes and there I find,
My perfect, imaginary Guy.

In silence you tell me, you’ll be my gallant guardian.
Protector, keeper, confidant and trusted friend.

Way Late

Written By: Catherine Knebel

I heard you came back home again
You've been gone so long.
All the miles have eased your pain,
Like nothing's gone.
You hid your heart from love too soon,
Like a shadow hides at noon.

You're way late, you hesitated.
Don't you know how long I waited.
You're way late, no longer hated,
But now my love is jaded.
Blue skies have turned to gray.

You said you needed time, time to clear your mind.
All the memories of your past, wouldn't let love last.
Like a lullaby I used to know, I had to let you go.

Written on Your Face

Written By: Catherine Knebel

The first time I met you boy, there was no love around,
And no matter how hard I tried, there was none to be found,
But lately there’s a look in your eyes,
And it’s something that we just can’t deny,

Baby there’s love, written on your face,
And it something you can’t hide & I can’t erase.
Baby there’s love written on your face,
And it’s something you can’t buy & I can’t replace.
But now everybody can see, by the way you're lookin’ at me,
Baby there’s love, written on your face.

Who would have ever dreamed of you & me?
They could have never seen what I can see,
Maybe it was there all the time?
Cuz they say sometimes love is blind….
Baby there’s love, written on your…..

Baby it’s alright if you hold my hand,
Maybe tonight? Baby if you can…

Baby there’s love, written on your face,
And it something you can’t hide & I can’t erase.
Baby there’s love written on your face,
And it’s something you can’t buy & I can’t replace.
But now everybody will know, by the way you're lovin' me so,
Baby there’s love, written on your face..
