Catrina Reese

Gospeljazztress Catrina Reese is a recording artist, songwriter and anointed psalmist. She is also a licensed and ordained preacher, certified life coach, motivational speaker, author, conference and workshop facilitator, and talk show host. But most of all, she is the daughter of the King and servant of God's people.

Called “the Phyllis Hyman of Gospel,” Catrina has opened, either as a solo artist or member of a group, for a host of major Gospel and Contemporary Christian recording artists including Beverly Crawford, Yolanda Adams, Vickie Winans, Deitrick Haddon, Kathy Mattea, David Tang, Vox, and Gospel legends Dorothy Norwood and Pastor Shirley Caesar.

A native of Charlotte, NC, Catrina has belted out the National Anthem at several sporting events such as the Charlotte Hornets basketball game, CIAA tournament, Charlotte Knights baseball game, and Charlotte Checkers hockey game. She’s also lent her voice to the Charlotte Choral Society and the Charlotte Symphony. 

During that time, Queen City Awards nominated her Female Gospel Artist of the Year, and her blog talk radio show “Let's Talk Kingdom with Catrina” was nominated and won as part of the WPGN Network, Internet Radio Station of the Year for The Rhythm of Gospel Award. In 2016, she won the Akademia Music Award for Best Christian/Jazz Song for “Takeover,” her single released at the end of 2015. 

In 2017, Catrina won the Gospel Image award for Gospel Female Artist of the Year. She was honored by ACHI Magazine with the Radio Personality of the Year award. She was also nominated for Female Gospel Artiste of the Year by the Queen City Awards.

In 2018, Catrina won ACHI Magazine Songstress of the Year and she has been traveling speaking and teaching at conferences such as the “Coaches on Parade” in Spencer, VA and upcoming in 2020 in Martinsville, VA.

In 2020, she will be launching her second annual Empowerment Conference in Fort Mill, SC titled, “BREAK FREE” Empowerment Conference 2020 which will be full of teaching facilitators, resources with “BREAK FREE” topics, vendors and more!

Catrina has written and produced three Gospel albums that can be found at digital music stores including Amazon and iTunes. Catrina signed with 2 Save Souls Records, an emerging Christian record label, in 2014. Her first EP on the label, “Touched By An Angel,” with the title song of the same name, was released In May 2017. She released her first Christmas single, “Mary Did You Know,” in late 2017. 2019, Catrina released her new single “WE WIN” which charted on Nielsen Billboard BDS Internet Radio Stations in the TOP 300.

Her book, “From the Heart,” can be found on Lulu, Amazon, and Kindle (ebook). And a second edition of “From the Heart” with the study guide will be published in 2020.
