'I know that my future’s bright
Steady guided by His light
It’s the best thing in the world
And I live my life knowing
I fear no evil...'

Nashville based singer Catt sings with a raw sincerity that will find it’s way directly to your soul—as refreshing as a spring rain and as warm as a summer’s day. She is a rising star, an untapped talent, who hopes to impact both individuals and the world with her positive and uplifting outpourings. She has a soulfully truthful sound that is easily identifiable for all people on every level and across color lines. It has a listenable quality that both draws in and captivates.

Catt knows what it’s like to be gifted and not know it. Although she has been a talented singer and dancer since childhood, the challenges that come with being a young woman created feelings of insecurity and self-doubt. She initially considered her creative abilities as “hobbies” rather than a part of her purpose. However, she has come to learn that God is in control.

CATT began writing almost by accident, not realizing where this might lead. “While working at a camp my sophomore year of college, I asked God to give me a song that would touch the lives of the young people that were there. In an hour, I wrote Fearfully and Wonderfully and sang it before over 400 people. Through that God revealed to me that He wanted me to use the gifts He’s given me and that despite my fears, He can make anything make sense if I just trust Him.” During her 6+ years at that camp, Kids Across America, she also worked on the choreography for the dance routine the students performed at the close of each week. And, since then she has been brought in to sing, teach and speak at other youth camps, women’s retreats, college events, and other various programs.

CATT credits her musical influence to people like Nina Simone, Faith Hill and India Arie. A native of Va. Beach, Virginia, she moved to Nashville 6 years ago and made the commitment to follow her artistic path. Thanks to an opportunity given to her by Nicole C. Mullen, as a back-up dancer and singer, she has gone on to work with other Christian artists such as GRITS, Verbs, Pettidee and Out of Eden, with whom, she has performed for thousands.

The heart Catt brings to her music is one of encouragement and motivation. In all that she does, Catt says “I want to encourage people and promote having a positive self-image. I want people to know that they can make it, they can do it, and they can be it, no matter what.”
