Soulful meets harmony is what describes vibrant artist Catt. Her acoustic sound breathes life into genuine feel good music.
Catherine “Catt” Gallop, a Virginia Beach native has one mission and that is to “revive the soul” through her music. Catt’s journey first began when she decided to stop living in fear of what people thought of her sound, and rediscovered the boldness to spread love through music she had in her youth. As a lover of artistic expression, she is inspired by Eryka Badu, Amel Larrieux, Minnie Riperton, and Skye Edwards of Morcheeba.
Catt initially considered her abilities as “hobbies” rather than part of her purpose. While working at a summer camp during college seeking a way to touch the lives of the young people, in an hour she wrote her first song Fearfully and Wonderfully and performed it in front of a crowd of 400. Because of this turning point, Catt believes that when you follow your heart, do what you are called to do, and trust in GOD, you will find your way.
Committed to following her artistic path, she moved to Nashville, TN and was given the opportunity to perform with Nicole C. Mullen, as a back-up singer and dancer. Catt has gone on to work with other Christian artists such as GRITS, Verbs, Pettidee,Out of Eden and Lisa McClendon. Her smooth music for the soul and sincere raw talent has her sharing the stage with musicians such as Algebra, Daysahead, Jaspects, and PJ Morton.
Her latest projects include Embrace it, Runnin Away, and Saturday each represent her creativity and passion for real artistry. With a beautiful tone, urban fly girl style, Catt’s music is sure to inspire with a listenable quality that both draws in and captivates. Everyone has a dream, and Catt’s independent released album Just Dreamin and her message overall gives fans permission to be free to love, free to live, free to dream...free to reach their destiny!
