Bio
Cauldron Born was Formed in 1994 By guitarist Howie Bentley. Howie wanted to form a true heavy metal band in the vein of his favorite artists such as Dio, King Diamond, and Yngwie Malmsteen.
Howie recuited his band from AIM in Atlanta, where he was also a student. Recruited for bass was Shawn Kascak, and on drums, Bill Parsons. They recorded a demo with then time vocalist Christian Schulz, but he quit soon after. The demo Swords, Sorcery and Science proved lucrative a sit landed them a deal with Italian label, Underground Symphony.
In 1996 they recorded "Born of the Cauldron" with their new vocalist Danny White(who left soon after due to personal problems). In the interim without a vocalist, God of Metal was released. It was an E.P. that consited of early demos by Howie(some pre Cauldron material as well as the Swords demo). They found a new vocalist for the new album"..And Rome Shall Fall" (recorded in 2001)but could not commit to the upcoming tour. Enter Zane Matthews(formerly of underground extremists Abwhore)who sucessfully filled the slot for the tour. The slot remains filled , and the band is active as ever in writing and performance. The band looks foward to possible European dates in 2002-2003, as well as a new album. Cauldron Born will not stop!
