"Caulfield!"

Caulfield's songs have been called "alt country at their core," with "thick compositions of piano, mandolin and resigned drums drenched in regret, hope and lovesickness. Songs such as 'Please Don't Leave' wouldn't sound out of place on Bright Eyes' new album Cassadaga.." - Jordan Sargent, Move Magazine

"House Painters"

"The group's debut House Painters invites violins and mandolins into the fold, lending an Alt-Country vibe to the group's languishing ballads and Dylan-esque bar burners." - www.lawerence.com

Bio

Caulfield and the Magic are the type of band that are just knocking at the door, waiting to erupt to their soon to be masses of fans, all it will really take is a matter of time. Because once fans realize that Casey Reeves may indeed be one of the great song-writers of his generation, they will have no choice but to fall in love with their music. They are the most prominent alt-country/folk-rock tandem of their time. Caulfield have blended together twangy roots-rock with lush pop meldoies to create a distinct mellow sound. They strive to produce powerful music through intense moments of hope, sadness and subtle beauty. Caulfield and the Magic consists of: Casey Reeves, Michael Cane, Josh Cochran, Zach Biri, and Brandon Robertson. They hail from Columbia, Missouri. The true heartland of our great country. They are what they like to call "100% midwestern."

It's the type of music that one put's in before beginning a long and distant road trip, simply because it almost feels as if it's your very own soundtrack to your life. It's just such personalized music. It feels as though the lead singer, Casey, is trying to let you into his life, but not quite. It seems as if he wants you to feel what he feels very just a second, and then abruptly pushes you away. Only but a glimpse of the present, past, and future will ever be seen with Caulfield. It's sentimental, enchanting, and most noteworthy of all, Yes, i'm actually going to say it, Magical!! It makes you want to close your eyes and dream big. And after saying that, it's safe to say that Casey and the rest of "The Magic" are doing just that. Like I said, it's all just a matter of time......
