"Cavender Welcomes You To Your New Life"

Welcoming you to your new life, Cavender is taking the local music scene by storm. The rock quintet has a sound similar to Anberlin and Paramore, but manages to keep it all original.

Front-woman, Drew Young, is in your face for the three tracks currently posted on the band's myspace. "These Are The Nights" has a great melody and super tight harmonies. Young does a fantastic job of not over-singing (as female vocalists sometimes fall victim to) and has some very clear influences, but is developing a style all her own.

"Come Back Home" has a great ballad feel to it (for lack of a better term) but does NOT skimp on the power. This song has an awesome sing-along value to it and really is a crowd starter.

Cavender is currently looking for a new guitarist but isn't showing any signs of slowing down. The band has a show at Dover Bowl with Maine-rs Too Late The Hero on August 7th, and is playing The Alliance Fest in Livermore, ME on August 8th.

Please please please check out this band. They put on a killer show and really know how to rock.

Bio

Battling through the ever-rising rapids of female-fronted pop-rock bands can be more than exhausting. Cavender, of southern New Hampshire, has proven strong against the current, managing to stay afloat through unpredictable waters since forming in the fall of 2006.

With front-woman, Drew Young, at the helm, it's no surprise that Cavender has seamlessly surpassed expectations of mediocrity. Young's soaring melodies have been said by fans to be "truly a voice no one will forget." On board with bassist, Johnny Roberge, the band welcomed guitarist, Ian Bergeron, and drummer, Ryan Stockbridge, to their crew in December of 2008, so far proving to be their most solid line-up to date.

After the online release of their debut self-titled EP, recorded by Michael Poorman (Hot Rod Circuit, Piebald) in the summer of 2008, Cavender is more than ready to hit the studio with a vessel of new material. Plans for a brand-new three-song EP are in the works for this coming winter.

With two years of shows under their belt across the northeast, sharing the stage with several national acts, Cavender has successfully captured the attention of audiences of all ages. This band is ready to set sail on a much larger sea, with tours on the horizon for 2010.

"These Are The Nights," off Cavender's self-titled EP, is currently receiving fan requests and frequent radio airplay on Augusta, Maine's 105.1 WTOS.
