"Listen Up Heart Demonstrates Range of Rising Star"

"... Cecilia St. King stands out as a real musical talent." - Phil Farber - Kingston Freeman - Kingston Freeman

"My Vote Is My Voice"

Cecilia was the first performer we scheduled for Democracy Fest. She opened up a speech given by Howard Dean on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.

Her generous spirit is found not just in her lyrics, but in every action that she takes. As I listened to Cecilia sing her songs, I was inspired to hope for the future. I remember thinking if I listened to her songs often enough, I could become a better person. - Charlene Johnston

"Inspiration From Within"

"Her music is uplifting - the audience left feeling inspired and renewed. Don't miss a chance to listen to this dynamic entertainer. " - J. Verrill - The Tennessean - The Tennessean

Bio

"The world needs to hear your music. Now, more than ever." - Pete Seeger

"I recently brought Cecilia St. King to Maine for two concerts and loved the way she engaged the audience with her exuberant performances. Her songs of peace are personal and universal, upbeat and touching at the same time. Her passionate commitment to being a Peace Troubadour and communicating her vision through music transcends borders. More people have to hear this amazing, engaging songwriter and performer." Arnold Greenberg - The Left Bank Café, Blue Hill, Maine

"As I listened to Cecilia sing her songs, I was inspired to hope for the future. I remember thinking if I listened to Cecilia sing those songs often enough, I could become a better person." Charlene Johnston - Democracy Fest

Endorsed by the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence and in partnership with The National Peace Academy Cecilia St. King on her National Peace Tour performs original acoustic/pop music with a spiritual edge. Shooting straight from the heart, she has translated her studies of The Ageless Wisdom Teachings into song.

She has brought shear joy to audiences in America, Europe, Japan and New Zealand.

Cecilia's songs are a powerful antidote to the turmoil in current times. She is genuinely a warm, nurturing spirit who easily connects with her audience to deliver inspirational lyrics, beautiful vocals and warm chord progressions.

She was recently awarded as an Ambassador for Peace through the Universal Peace Federation because of her work as a humanitarian.

As a Peace Troubadour, Cecilia sings songs with positive - spiritual messages.

If any artist is able to bring people together, it will be Ms. St. King, who coincidentally shares part of her last name with the famous Martin Luther King Jr. She reminds one of King's ideals when she sings the following words from her world anthem, "Peace On Earth."

How do you feel at night?
Do you wish for Peace?
Do you feel all right?
We're really not that different don't you think?
We all seek to find love.
We all need to have hope..."

Cecilia is no stranger to adversity. Six months after running from the fall of the World Trade Center, she was diagnosed with cancer in her throat. She spent time healing in a monastery in New Zealand and turned her tragedy into triumph by being a voice for Peace.

In addition to tours in Japan, New Zealand, Europe and across the U.S., Cecilia has performed at the United Nations – headlining the 2009 Culture of Peace Week; she was the keynote musician for the Gandhi Institute for Non-Violence and at the North East Regional Dept. of Peace Conference in RI. Recent concerts include The National Peace Academy, Binghamton University, the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, the Strawberry Festival in Beacon, NY with Pete Seeger, The Pre-Parliament of World Religions. She is featured annually at NYC’s September Concerts and the Vigil for International Peace in Central Park. Other performances over the past twenty years include Nashville’s Bluebird Café, 12th and Porter, 3rd and Lindsey, Boulder’s Rock N' Soul club, schools, festivals, churches, senior centers, coffee houses and regional house concerts. As well as reaching out to Spiritual communities Cecilia is continuing to enjoy a growing presence on the stage of world politics. She sang for Presidential hopeful candidate Dennis Kucinich and performed for Howard Dean's presidential campaign. She also opened a speech for Dean on the Eve of the Democratic National Convention that introduced Barack Obama.

St. King is thoughtful when asked what motivates her...

"When words are not enough, music goes deep into the soul and can transform a seemingly hopeless situation. We are from one family called humanity. Isn't that enough?"

Don't miss this up and coming star, she is one of those rare artists who shine because her sheer talent moves and delights audiences who enjoy meaningful lyrics and a harmonious sound.
