Bio

This sultry and gifted artist is the future of music to come blending Pop, R&B, Jazz and Hip-Hop genres as no one else can. Her passion for music comes from her deeply immense love for R&B/Soul, Jazz and Gospel. As her love for music has grown, so has her love for the performing. Renowned locally for her powerful voice, this PK (Preacher’s Kid), first honed her vocal chops in the church. A native of Los Angels California, Cecret Jones is a descendant of a long line of musicians and vocalists. Cecret became interested in singing at the age of 3. At this tender age, her talent was realized. This dynamic performer sang her first solo in front of hundreds of elementary school students at the age of 12, wrote her first song at the age of 13, and recorded for the first time at the age of 14. After many courses in music, vocal lessons and constant solo appearances within the church, Cecret felt comfortable enough to begin recording with other acts. In 1992, Cecret recorded with a small rap group in the Pacific Northwest. In 1993, Cecret began performing at The Rain Tree, a local nightclub. 1994 she won several talent contests, which exposed her to a wider audience. During 1995 she displayed her talent in a local version of ShowTime at the Apollo held at the Rialto Theatre in Tacoma Washington. In 1996, she blossomed as a live performer at The Vault, another local nightclub in the Pacific Northwest. There she was allowed to perform several times as a solo artist as well as with other local acts. This opportunity allowed her to further develop and perfect her live act. Cecret acquired a vast amount of experience from performing in front of large crowds for which she is constantly gaining local notoriety. In September 2005, Cecret celebrated her first single release entitled “Babe” by performing as an opening act at a CD release party for Rapper and long time collaborator Terrence Degree. Currently, Cecret Jones’ single “Babe” is being played on several Internet radio stations with increasing popularity. Cecret continues to perform and record in the Seattle area and is poised to become a driving force to be reckoned with in the years to come.

“Singing makes me feel alive; performing is one of its perks”— Cecret Jones.
